KING CITY — More than 500 community members attended King City’s seventh annual National Night Out on Aug. 3 at the King City Fire Department.
National Night Out was held throughout the Salinas Valley as part of a nationwide series of community events to build relationships between law enforcement and residents.
People could speak directly with cops and other emergency personnel, as well as visit numerous community booths and get free treats.
Emergency vehicles from King City Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Fort Hunter Liggett and the local fire department were also on display.
Last year’s Night Out was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
