DRUG DISPOSAL

GONZALES — Sun Street Centers and Gonzales Police Department will be hosting National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30. Residents can eliminate prescription drug abuse by turning in expired or unused prescription drugs — with no questions asked — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gonzales police station, 109 Fourth St.


CLEANUP DAY

GREENFIELD — A Greenfield Cleanup Day is planned for Saturday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Greenfield Corporation Yard, 920 Walnut Ave. The event is only open to local residents, who can dispose of such items as general garbage, mattresses, electronics, TVs, computers, metal appliances and metal and steel items including refrigerators and freezers for free. Furniture, yard waste and wood will not be accepted.


TAILGATE PARTY

MONTEREY COUNTY — After a two-year hiatus, the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries has returned with a new event, Reading the Playbook Tailgate Party and Auction on Saturday, April 30, at 4:45 p.m. The virtual fundraiser features recently retired NFL wide receiver and children’s book author Malcolm Mitchell, along with an online catalog of auction items for participants to bid on.
