EARTH DAY CLEANUP

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Parks and Recreation Committee has invited the community to an Earth Day park cleanup on April 17, to be held at Patriot Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Pandemic health guidelines will be followed, and attendees are asked to wear a mask.


AUDITION WORKSHOP

SALINAS — The Western Stage is hosting an interactive audition workshop for actors looking to improve their audition experience, or for interested theatergoers curious about the casting process. Casting Coordinator Malinda DeRouen will be offering her expertise to participants in a live feedback session, including cold reading, audition etiquette and tips for success. “A View From the Casting Table” takes place via Zoom on Monday, April 19, at 6 p.m. The virtual event is free for Hartnell students and TWS subscribers; $5 general admission. RECOGNITION WALL

MONTEREY COUNTY — Community Builders for Monterey County has been reaching out to local nonprofits for short shoutouts recognizing a volunteer or groups of volunteers in need of kudos this month. These volunteers will be featured on its Virtual Wall of Recognition, which debuts next week in celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 18-24). Join the celebration of community and volunteerism by visiting the wall at combuildersmc.org.
