KING CITY — Food Bank for Monterey County’s food distribution program in King City takes place at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds the first Wednesday of every month. 

To help ensure the program continues, the City of King is in need of eight to 10 volunteers from 9 to 11 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month, beginning on Oct. 6. 

Volunteers will help provide boxes of food to recipients in need.
