KING CITY — A Caltrans pavement rehabilitation construction project along Highway 101 near King City will require a four-week closure of the northbound First Street onramp and the northbound Canal Street offramp.

The ramp closures will be in place from Monday, April 4, until Monday, May 2. Temporary concrete railing will be placed on the roadway to block access to both ramps.

“Rehabilitation of these ramps and lanes will then be able to take place safely behind concrete barriers,” Caltrans said in a news release.

With the closure of the northbound First Street onramp, travelers will be directed to continue north on First Street, turn left on Division Street and left again on Canal Street to enter Highway 101 at the Canal Street onramp.

With the closure of the northbound Canal Street offramp, travelers will be directed to exit at the northbound First Street offramp, and take a left on Division Street to arrive at Canal Street.

Message and directional signs will be in place to direct travelers, who can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

The $78 million construction project is expected to be completed at the end of September.
