“We went three games with Christopher and two with Hollister but we didn’t win either match,” said Lady Broncos head coach Sarah Shepherd. “Even though we weren’t victorious we were very proud of the improvement of our play from the previous week. Our girls played great defense and it total our girls combined for 70 digs. We want to acknowledge Brenna Owens for an amazing week. She lead the team with 17 assists, was the second leader in kills with eight, and contributed 15 digs. We hope she keeps it up as we enter our second round of games in league. Ximena Deniz also had another great week. She was the leader in digs both nights with eight against Hollister and nine against Christopher. Our other standout was Johana Valdez who led the team with aces and combined for a total of 10 kills.”
