SALINAS — The Salinas Annual Veterans Day Parade brought many local veterans as well as high school groups, such as Soledad High School NJROTC and Gonzales Marching Band, to honor veterans on Nov. 11 at Downtown Main Street.

Capt. Rich Wiley, a King City High School graduate who was raised in Greenfield, rode in the parade. Wiley is now the commanding officer of the Naval Support Activity Base near the Naval Post Graduate School.

Also in the parade was the Soledad American Legion Post 32, made up of veterans who fought in such wars as World War II, Vietnam War and the War on Terror.
