SOUTH COUNTY — Soledad High and King City High had two representatives on the Mission Trail Athletic League first-team. Greenfield High had one player on the first-team.

In addition the league champion Aztecs had head coach Tatiana Rodriguez chosen as MTAL Coach of the Year after guiding her team to schools first basketball championship. Soana Laulotu of Carmel High was voted as the league Most Valuable Player.

Jacqueline Saldana and Xenia Suarez of Soledad were first-team selections along with Megan Flores and Delaney Carroll of King City, and Maria Hernandez of Greenfield. Flores made the first-team for the second consecutive season.

Joining the South County group of first-team players were Laulotu and Katie Godon of Carmel, Kai Shoemaker of Santa Catalina, Kalaea Tulua of Pacific Grove, and Ambreece Gaskins of Stevenson.

Players chosen to the MTAL second-team were: Ashley Langley (Carmel); Kayla Dixon and Denise Robles (Gonzales); Alize Ortiz (Greenfield); Alyssa Richardson (King City); Vada Courtney and Tati Ruiz (Pacific Grove); Daisy Bugarin and Theresa Chavez (Soledad); Antonia Malate (Stevenson).

Yasmin Solis of Greenfield and Parker Llantero of Pacific Grove received the Elgie Bellizio Sportsmanship Award.
