Crews continue working on the building leased by the King City Union School District at Broadway Street and Vanderhurst Avenue. Once finished, it will become the district’s administrative headquarters.
KING CITY — Remodeling work continues at the former NAPA Auto Parts building on the corner of Broadway Street and Vanderhurst Avenue, which is now being leased by the King City Union School District.
According to Superintendent Rory Livingston, the district has been leasing a part of the building for the past year for some of its administrative employees. Once the building’s owner finishes the remodeling on the other side, however, the rest of the staff will move in.
Livingston said the building, which includes various meeting rooms and offices, will serve as the district’s administrative headquarters for the next 10 to 20 years. He anticipates that the construction work will be completed by September.
“We’re anticipating the work will be finished, hopefully, by Labor Day weekend, and we’ll be moving in then,” he said.
