Leonor, born June 21, 1926, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Obrajuelo,Guanajuato,Mexico to Manuel Rico Piña and Maria Nuñez Arreguin. She immigrated to Texas with her husband, Jose F. Martinez in 1949. They moved to King City in 1965.

She worked in agriculture for many years, last worked at Basic Vegetable Products. A faithful Catholic attending mass weekly, praying the rosary and reading prayer cards. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, going on walks and talking with friends.

Survived by her son, Juan Manuel (Alejandra) Martinez and daughter, Maria (Ruben) Soliz; grandchildren, Juan Manuel (Laura) Martinez and Luis Alberto Martinez, Liliana Soliz, Elsa Marie Soliz; great grandchildren, Andrew Martinez, Jonathan Martinez and Joaquin Bermea and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary service followed by a Funeral Mass was held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Leonor was laid to rest beside her late husband, Jose F. Martinez in King City District Cemetery.
