Cleofas Castillo Gonzalez, 89, of Greenfield passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, in King City with his family by his side. He was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Coalcoman, Michoacan, Mexico.

Cleofas loved his job as a ranch hand for the Mee Ranch and later for Bassetti Farms. His favorite hobby was his garden with his many fruits and vegetables. He loved Mariachi music and enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico.

Cleofas is survived by his sons, Carlos Castillo (Shauna), Octavio Castillo (Maria Elena) and Cleofas Castillo Jr. (Blanca); daughters, Teresa Flores (Mark), Elvira Castillo Fraire (Will) and Marisela Mackey (Rex); 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Castillo.

A Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary service on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett St. in King City.  

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City. Burial will follow in the King City District Cemetery.
