Joseph Melvin Cozby died May 27, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born on July 4, 1938 in Aztec, New Mexico to Melvin and Maxine Cozby. 

He lived in King City, CA, Sunnyvale, CA and Charleston Heights, SC before retiring to Coarsegold, CA where he has lived with his wife, Barbara, for the last 19 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Cozby.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Cozby of Coarsegold, CA; mother Maxine Cozby of Lockwood, CA; sister Connie (Dick) Brown of Lockwood, CA; sister Maxine (John) Cozby-Sutro of Grass Valley, CA; his son Melvin (Jane) Cozby of Arroyo Grande, CA; daughter Carmel (Dennis) Lindner of Roseville, CA; daughter Victoria (Michael) West of Carmichael, CA and ten grandchildren.

After serving in the Navy from 1957 to 1959, Joe joined Lockheed Corporation where he worked for 32 years. 

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and especially spending time with his family. 

He was active in Sierra Springs Church in Coarsegold and also loved serving in The Gideons Ministry.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at King City Cemetery, 1010 Broadway, King City, CA (831-385-6968).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel,

49269 Road 426, Oakhurst, CA (559-683-4370).
