KING CITY — The City of King launched its District Watch Block Party Program last Thursday, hosting neighborhood parties in each of the five city council districts as part of the city’s public safety community outreach initiative.

Residents were invited to attend the Oct. 26 events, which included free food and entertainment as well as public safety information and the chance to meet city officials and police officers.

The District Watch program was formed last year to encourage the community to work together to make local neighborhoods safer.
